Premio Arte Y Pico Award

I am honored... yesterday I have been given the ARTE Y PICO Award.
This award was given to me by Smadar's Treasure, who is a very talented beader from Israel and a very kind person. Thank you so much, Smadar!


So, I am now passing the award to another 5 blogs:

Fleurfatale a Belgian artist from Laarne, graphic designer, 1 sweet son and 3 lovely daughters, she makes great stunning creations, all limited edition, using a mix of materials like felt, fabric, paper, beads, findings, copper and silver... like a creative garden, full of flowers and other colorful wonders!
2. ArtMind another skilled Belgian artist from Hasselt, who produces, among other things, original felted jewelry and unique greeting cards for various occasions.
3. Glasfaden an Indonesian artist living in Germany for many years now... she is a computer programmer who abandoned her old job to devote completely herself to her new passion... glass and hand felted beads and jewellery production.
4. Anna Greaves an english artist who lives in The Netherlands at Amsterdam... take a look at her The House of Mouse... you should admire all the little felt mouse characters that she have created... you will find a large variety of styles, all with their own little personalities... all are individually hand made, unique and looking forward to being adopted into your home.
5. Giusypatch an italian girl from Trieste who loves to play with fabric, create totes, handbags, purses, a lot of sewing things (CD holder cases, cell phone/ipod purses, tissue holder cases, moleskine covers, ...).

In effetti sono un tipo piuttosto romantico ma sicuramente per nulla una 'femmefatale' "

Braccialetto bianco a crochet

Un nuovo braccialetto a crochet appena inserito nel mio Etsy shop... realizzato in cotone bianco attorno ad una spirale metallica che termina con due piccole sferette argentate. Un fiore di stoffa lilla, con una perla di vetro bianco al centro, sboccia su un lato del bracciale.

A new crochet bracelet just listed at my Etsy shop... made from white quality cotton around a metallic coil which ends with two silver toned little balls. A violet fabric flower, with a white glass bead in the center, blossoms sideways.

Marianne Seiman è l'artista estone che crea questi particolarissimi gioielli realizzati con l'uncinetto ed il feltro... mamma di tre bimbi, designer autodidatta con la voglia e l'esigenza costante di creare.

"Nonostante mia mamma e mia nonna siano state abili artigiane, loro hanno sempre seguito le cosiddette regole creative e sono sempre state molto rigide sul come le cose dovessero essere realizzate (sia nelle attività creative che nella vita in generale). Io penso che la mia professione di modella, il viaggiare, la possibilità di conoscere culture differenti ed incontrare persone di tutto il mondo abbia avuto una forte influenza nel mio modo di vedere la vita. Tutto questo mi ha dato anche il coraggio di sperimentare cose nuove nel mio lavoro creativo."

"Although my mom and my granny were excellent crafters, they still followed so-called rules and were pretty strict about how things (craftwise and in life generally) were supposed to be done. I think that my modeling career, travelling, seeing different cultures and meeting people from all over the world has had a great impact in changing my view on life. It has also given me the courage to try different things in my craftwork."

Recently I fall in love with crocheted jewelry and these creations are really mind-blowing!!!
