Finally I found, in a flea market, a lovely vintage dress form… and immediately I felt in love with her… “she” has some little and charming spots due to the time, but is really so stylish and slender!

I had to inaugurate her with some new Peony I made to order in these last days!

Among my last creations there are these two crocheted jewels in red... Red flower crochet necklace/bracelet... made from olive and red quality cotton... a double layer flower with a white glass pearl core and a single leaf set up the pendant of this simple and stylish lariat... the cord’s leght allows you to employ it as a bracelet too... so you will have two jewels in one!



... and Red crochet bracelet... another one of my crochet bracelets... it is made from red quality cotton around a metallic coil which ends with two silver toned little balls... a white crochet flower, with a glass beaded core, blossoms sideways... one size fits most, due to the bendability!

Tra le mie ultime creazioni ci sono questi due gioielli a crochet in rosso... A cluster of pink and silver beads decorate the silver coil of this new wiry ring made to order... I used acrylic and glass beads and "Rayher" silver-plated wire with copper core.

Un nuovo anello rosa a grappolo!
Un grappolo di perle rosa ed argentate decorano la spirale d'argento di questo nuovo anello realizzato su ordinazione... ho utilizzato perle acriliche e di vetro e filo metallico "Rayer" con cuore in rame placcato argento.

Il mio primo esperimento di braccialetto a crochet appena inserito nel mio Etsy shop... realizzato in cotone turchese attorno ad una spirale metallica che termina con due piccole sferette argentate. La fascia centrale è decorata con una serie di perline acriliche argentate.

w.ho made it (chi ha fatto questo)?... no... non si tratta di un quiz!!!... w.ho made it è lo pseudonimo di Wendy Ho (w.ho made it)... un'artista americana di San Francisco che realizza, tra le altre cose, questi originalissimi contenitori per gioielli... appena li ho visti ne sono rimasta affascinata!
Wendy racconta di se stessa:
"Fino a poco tempo fa io non ho mai pensato di poter fare delle mie creazioni una professione. Sono stata a scuola, ho studiato per diventare insegnante, ho lasciato il mio paese per andare in Giappone a fare l'insegnante, sono ritornata ed ho capito che amo insegnare ai bambini, ma ciò che amo veramente sono le arti e le attività manuali, così ho tentato di esplorarne meglio i segreti e di metterle in pratica prima che fosse troppo tardi e prima di rimanere intrappolata in un lavoro che realmente non amo. w.ho made it?... no... it isn't a quiz!!!... w.ho made it is the nom de guerre of Wendy Ho (w.ho made it)... she is an american artist from San Francisco who makes, among other things, these fanciful porcelain jewelry stands... as soon as I saw them I was fascinated by them!
Wendy describes herself:
"I never thought of doing hand made as a profession until recently. I went to school, studied education, left the country to go to Japan to be a teacher then came back and realized I love teaching kids, but what i really love is arts and crafts, so i better explore it more and do something real with it before it's too late and i'm stuck doing some job i don't even like. One day i was reading craftzine and found Etsy. The next day i took a picture of an earring i made and posted it. then lucky me, it was sold instantly. It was definitely a sign so i kept on going and here i am today with my own etsy shop!"

Ho conosciuto quest'artista americana (Monclova, Ohio) in occasione di S.Valentino... desideravo un regalo speciale e, con una piccola ricerca su Etsy, ho scoperto i gioielli in argento con scritte personalizzate realizzati da Christen Largent... un'artista autodidatta che utilizza diversi materiali... negli ultimi 5 anni ha rivolto la propria attenzione all'arte del filo metallico (che ha insegnato per 3 anni) e della lavorazione dei metalli... ha avviato la propria attività, Bead-Dazzled Designs, tre anni fa ed ora è coinvolta in molte mostre d'arte, mostre finalizzate alla raccolta di fondi di beneficenza e lavori personalizzati su richiesta.

I knew this american artist (Monclova, Ohio) on the occasion of Valentine's Day... I yearned for a special gift and, with a short research at Etsy, I discovered these sterling silver jewelry with customized inscriptions made by Christen Largent... a self-taught artist using many mediums... in the past 5 years she turned her attention to Wire Art (which she taught for 3 years) and metalsmithing... she established her business, Bead-Dazzled Designs, three years ago and now pursue a full schedule of art shows, fundraisers and custom works.
"The things that most inspire and motivate me are curiosity and nature, as well as new and different textures. I always look for a way to expand my horizons and take my art to a new level.".

Karla Vandebeek, artista belga di Hasselt, realizza gioielli da circa 10 anni come seconda professione... normalmente vendeva le sue creazioni direttamente ai negozi, ma ora preferisce vendere i suoi lavori quasi esclusivamente on line tramite Etsy e Dawanda. In questo modo ha più tempo per sperimentare tecniche differenti come il lavoro a maglia, il cucito, la realizzazione di gioielli "pezzi unici", il lavoro con il feltro e la creazione di oggetti esclusivi.
Il nome del suo negozio on line Karlita è anche il suo nickname che le è stato attribuito anni fa quando viveva negli USA (Watertown, NY), come studente fuori sede... significa piccola Karla (dal momento che non è così alta... così almeno lei dice!).

Karla Vandebeek, belgian artist from Hasselt, has been making jewelry for 10 years now as a second profession... she used to sell to stores but now she prefers to sell on line at Etsy and Dawanda almost exclusively. That way she has more time to experiment with different things like knitting, sewing, making unique pieces of jewelry, working with felt and to make unique things.
Her on line shopname Karlita is also her nickname which was given to her years ago when she stayed as an exchange student in the USA (Watertown, NY)... it means little Karla (and since she's not so tall ... so she confides about herself!).
She loves working with materials like felt, sterling silver and semi-precious stones, with leather or fabric. At her on line shops Karlita - Etsy and Karlita - Dawanda, you can find mostly jewelry and felted accessories, but you can also admire many other interesting creations.

Adoro gli anelli... più sono strani e particolari più mi piacciono... normalmente ne indosso almeno 5 o 6... non potevo quindi non rimanere colpita da queste straordinarie creazioni di S D S realizzate in argento puro (99,99%) che è leggermente più morbido e malleabile dell'argento 925... non conosco altre notizie di quest'artista americana dell'Arizona, ma nel suo Etsy shop Shimmer Design Studio potete trovare molti altri originalissimi gioielli!

I adore rings... the more outlandish and unique they are the more I love them... usually I wear 5 or 6 rings at list... therefore I couldn't not to love these extraordinary creations made by S D S with pure silver (99,99%) which is a little softer than sterling silver... I don't know other news about this american artist from Arizona, but at her Etsy shop Shimmer Design Studio you can find many other fanciful jewelry!
